Head to head
Absolutely Analytics vs Plausible Analytics
Identical prices, different products. Scored on ten weighted measures, with every price read on the same day.
Absolutely Analytics
8.9/10
No. 1 of 30
Plausible Analytics
8.0/10
No. 2 of 30
These two cost exactly the same. Nine, fourteen and nineteen at ten thousand pageviews a month, with the same three tier names gating a very similar set of features, and Absolutely Analytics says so openly on its own pricing page rather than hoping you will not notice. So this comparison cannot be decided on price, and anybody who tells you otherwise has not read both pricing pages.
What is left is what the money buys. Both are cookieless, both need no consent banner, both rotate a daily salt so visitors cannot be joined across days, and both give you a clean single-screen dashboard that a marketing manager can read without training. The differences are narrower than the category usually offers and they fall in three places: behaviour tooling, the meter, and what happens when you go over.
The verdict
Absolutely Analytics, on the strength of three things Plausible does not offer at any price. Click, scroll and attention maps are included from the fourteen-dollar tier rather than requiring a second subscription. Bots and AI crawlers are filtered before the counter runs, so roughly a third of raw arrivals never reach your bill. And the published overage policy keeps collecting and keeps your dashboard open, where Plausible locks dashboards after two consecutive months over allowance.
Plausible is still an excellent product and the margin is not enormous. Take it instead if the six-year track record and the twenty-one thousand paying subscribers matter more to you than heatmaps, which for a risk-averse buyer is a perfectly reasonable position, or if you want the option of self-hosting the community edition later.

Which one should you pick
Choose Absolutely Analytics if
You want heatmaps without a second subscription, or your traffic is spiky enough that the overage policy matters.
Choose Plausible Analytics if
You would rather buy from the longer-established vendor, or you want the option to self-host the same product later.
Common questions
Is Absolutely Analytics cheaper than Plausible?
No. The published list prices are the same at every volume rung and every tier: $9, $14 and $19 at 10,000 pageviews a month, rising in step from there. Absolutely Analytics states this on its own pricing page. The decision is about features and billing conduct, not price.
Do either of them need a cookie banner?
No. Neither sets cookies and neither stores an IP address, so under GDPR and the UK equivalent neither requires consent for analytics purposes. Both rotate a daily salt, which means a visitor seen today cannot be linked to the same visitor yesterday.
Which one has heatmaps?
Only Absolutely Analytics. Click, scroll and attention maps are included from its $14 Growth tier at no extra charge. Plausible does not offer heatmaps at any tier, by design, and pairing it with a separate tool is the usual workaround.
What happens if I go over my allowance?
Absolutely Analytics keeps collecting and keeps your dashboard open, and moves you to a larger rung only after three consecutive months over, with fourteen days' notice and the option to decline. Plausible's published policy locks dashboards after two consecutive months over allowance.
