Glossy Data is not a web analytics tool. It measures something your analytics cannot see: whether AI assistants mention, recommend or cite your brand when buyers ask them questions.

What it does
It puts buyer questions to six AI engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude. It records whether your brand is mentioned, recommended or cited. It also records which competitors are named instead, and which sources the answers lean on. Coverage runs to 49 countries and 7 languages.
Its agent analytics feature reads your own Cloudflare logs to show which AI crawlers visit your site. Each crawler is checked against its operator's published IP ranges, and spoofed ones are flagged. Requests are kept as daily totals, with no raw log lines and no client IP addresses.
How it fits next to web analytics
Your analytics tool counts the people who arrive. An AI answer that names a competitor sends nobody, so it never shows up in a traffic report. Glossy Data covers that gap.
It installs nothing on your pages, so it costs no load time and needs no consent. It sits alongside any tool in the ranking and replaces none of them. If you want the traffic side kept light as well, the privacy-first tools pair well with it.
Who it suits
Brands that already understand their traffic and now want to know what AI assistants say about them before a buyer reaches the site. Agencies reporting on several clients, which have their own plans. It is less useful if your category rarely comes up in AI answers yet, or if a second tool is not in the budget.
What it costs
Brand plans start at $29 a month for one site and 630 credits, which pay for the questions it asks. Team is $99, Growth $299 and Business $799 a month. Annual Enterprise plans start at $30,000. Agency plans start at $199 a month, and annual billing saves 10%.
There is no free plan and no free trial. A limited report is free, needs no card, and asks you to verify your email.
Worth knowing
It is a 2026 start-up from the United Kingdom, run on Cloudflare with no choice of data region. By its own account it holds no SOC 2 certification, publishes no penetration test report and offers no uptime SLA. A click-through DPA is available from the Team plan up.
