Head to head
Absolutely Analytics vs Adobe Analytics
A script tag, or a six-month implementation. Scored on ten weighted measures, with every price read on the same day.
Absolutely Analytics
8.9/10
No. 1 of 30
Adobe Analytics
4.8/10
No. 29 of 30
These are not the same kind of purchase and it would be dishonest to pretend a fair fight. Adobe Analytics is a quoted annual enterprise contract, normally six figures, with an implementation project measured in months: a solution design reference, a data layer, tag management, report suite architecture and a governance model. Absolutely Analytics is nine dollars and a script tag.
Analysis Workspace, Adobe's ad-hoc analysis canvas, is the most capable interface of its kind anywhere, and calculated metrics, segmentation and attribution modelling go deeper than anything else on this list.
The verdict
It depends on one question: can you name the person whose job includes owning this?
If you can, and they are an analyst with complex attribution requirements across multiple properties, Adobe is a legitimate purchase and the depth is real. Nothing in the cookieless category comes close on analytical ceiling.
If you cannot, do not buy it, and the reason is not the price. The characteristic failure here is an organisation that buys Adobe as a status purchase, implements perhaps five per cent of it, and ends up making worse decisions than a nine-dollar tool would have supported, because the reports are too hard for anybody to open. Capability nobody uses is worse than capability you do not have, because it also consumed the budget and the goodwill.
And note what the money does not buy: Adobe sets cookies and carries exactly the same consent obligation as GA4, so every accuracy problem in the free tool is still present in the expensive one.

Which one should you pick
Choose Adobe Analytics if
You have a dedicated analytics function, complex cross-property attribution, and the budget to implement and staff it properly.
Choose Absolutely Analytics if
You want to know how your site is doing, and nobody's job title contains the word analyst.
Common questions
How much does Adobe Analytics cost?
Adobe does not publish pricing. Contracts are annual and normally six figures, and implementation cost commonly exceeds the licence in the first year. Absolutely Analytics publishes every price on a ladder from $9 to $339.
Is Adobe Analytics more accurate?
Not in the way that matters most. It sets cookies and carries the same consent obligation as Google Analytics in the UK and EU, so it loses the same visitors who decline. Its advantage is analytical depth, not completeness of collection.
Could a small business use Adobe Analytics?
It could buy it. It should not. The implementation burden and the skill required mean a small team will use a fraction of it, which is the most expensive way to end up with a worse answer than a $9 tool would have given.
What does Adobe do that cookieless tools cannot?
Multi-property attribution modelling, calculated metrics, deep custom segmentation and ad-hoc analysis in Analysis Workspace. These are real capabilities with no equivalent in this category. They are also capabilities most websites have no question for.
